10.) Next SERTAC Meeting

1        Announcements from the chair – by Andrea Winthrop

a)      Dr. Winthrop reports Secretary Position is available to any committee member. Secretary Position responsible for recording and transcribing minutes for Executive Council and SERTAC Meetings.

b)      Trauma Coordinator Workshop                                        Cinda Werner is conducting a Trauma Coordinator Workshop as part of training for Registrars / Coordinators. Cinda Werner has contact list and will be sending out info on workshop.

c)      Meeting Attendance.                                                             Updating membership attendance and contact info. The update is needed to verify organizations not being represented and have up to date contact info so information is getting out to members. SERTAC members it is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of your information on the website and reporting errors or revisions to the RTAC Coordinator.

d)      Summer Meeting Schedule  

The summer meeting Schedule will be changed, the committee has agreed to not have a meeting in July.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

 

2        Executive Council Meeting Report – by Andrea Winthrop report from today’s executive council meeting today at 2:15.

 

a)      Bylaws -The final version of the SERTAC bylaws has been approved and will be posted on the website.

 

b)      Vice Chair Position - Dr. Steve Andrews has accepted the position of Vice Chair

c)      Finance – B. Rambo and R. Ramerez are working with John Pandl and Linda Anderson regarding the budget and any extra monies in SERTAC account.

d)      SERTAC Reimbursement Form- The SERTAC Reimbursement Form will be put onto SERTAC website. The form will be available to committee members who have approval for expenses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Announcements from RTAC Coordinator- Robert Ramerez

 

 

a.)  Triage Tuesday -Power point presentation from Elizabeth Corneliuson and R. Ramerez. The power point presentation discusses the minimal requirements for documentation on the triage tags and what is expected from EMS Services and Hospitals. The shipment of triage tags from the State is behind due to a manufacturer delay. Once Dennis Tomczyk receives tags from manufacturer, he will ship out tags to R. Ramerez.

 

b.) Table Top Exercises – The date discussed for the SERTAC regional exercise is August 22, 2006. In the March meeting R. Ramerez informed the committee facilitators and minute takers were needed. As of April meeting two facilitators and two minute takers have been acquired. R. Ramerez is still following up with personal to fill final positions.

 

 

  c.)Website Update – R. Ramerez has received statistics from           the web designer and the SERTAC website is growing in number of hits for each month. There will be a change in passwords in order to maintain site security. All current members will be on a contact list and web designer will allow persons to access site.

 

d.)WEEPP Training – The deadline for the WEEPP training is May 30, 2006. R. Ramerez is continuously working with services to complete the training before deadline.

 

 

1)Announcements from the State of Wisconsin by Marianne Peck

 

a.) Beta site review- The STAC will be releasing the site review questionnaire. If members are interested in obtaining a copy, contact R. Ramerez or go to the State website (dhfs.wisconsin.gov.)

 

b.) OJA Radio Grants- Paul Wittkamp discusses grant through Homeland Security, OJA is providing grant funding for upgrading the EMS communications system in our state. There is an $8 million pot available for all responders. The deadline for grant is May 5th. 

* Coordinators Note After Meeting:  Due to the tight time-frame associated with gathering all of the information needed for the 05 Interoperability grants, OJA will accept submission of Radio Pre-Application Forms until the final application date of June 2nd; HOWEVER, submissions of Pre-Application Forms received by May 5th will be reviewed immediately by OJA and given priority.
