2        Announcements from RTAC Coordinator – by Robert Ramerez

a)      SERTAC Website                                                                    - An option for site security is to have passwords assigned by county, which will make for easier changes in passwords.                                                                     - The links portion of the website will be upgraded to be more user friendly and county specific.                                 - Some documents (word, excel, ppt.) will be converted to adobe, so documents will be available for search engines on internet.                                                                              - Information such as booklets / handout information will be posted on website. By posting info on website members can access documents and member’s e-mail storage space will not become as full.                                                              -Information can be added regularly for current events or training.                                                                               – Members info will only be on member’s site and will be password protected.

b)      Triage Tags and WEEPP                                                                               The State is sending enough tags so each service vehicle carries 150 tags. The distribution plan is currently being discussed, Paramedic Base offered to be a staging point or tags can be sent out by county through Emergency Medical Directors. Currently quarterly evaluations on Triage Tags are expected to start in October. Patients can refuse to participate; tags will be kept on clip boards instead of on Patient. A script is available in the Triage Tuesday packet, each site or service is allowed to offer own script to Patient. Current goal is to have Triage Tuesday twice a month, plan to keep tags for evaluations, and to have services familiar with tags.

c)      Table Top Exercise                                                             The Table Top Exercises will begin on 4/15 and will be ending 8/31. There must be a minimum of three regions working together that typically do not interact. The SERTAC Committee will need to determine how many exercises will be required. There is a reimbursement of $1500 per exercise funded by the State; SERTAC has an extension until May 1st to submit schedule and expense report. The Education Committee is to review and get info on what resources will be needed to conduct Table Top Exercise. If Committee members are interested, there is a need for minute-takers and facilitators for Exercises. Minute-takers and facilitators will be paid $200 for the two hour exercise, if interested contact RTAC Coordinator.
